International Development | Senior Software Development Engineer(One-year Contractor)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum:
- Proven track record of successfully delivering high volume and high availability web applications under tight time constraints.
- Ability to turn business requirements into high quality technical software design and development.
- Expert level Knowledge of JSP/Servlet, HTML, Javascript, XML, CSS, any web Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework.
- Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE platform and Java-based web service.
- Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies including code reviews and version control software such as CVS.
- Experience with software performance testing, tuning and load testing.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members (local and remote).
Preferred:
- Experience in design and development of high traffic multi-tier web applications.
- Experience with I18N & Localization would be a plus.
- Experience with CMS.
- Experience with e-commerce and SQL.
- Experience with Spring Web Flow.
Education, Certification, and/or Training:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or computing related discipline.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or computing related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum:
- 7+ years hands-on web development experience using JSP/Servlet, JSTL, AJAX, CSS, HTML, Javascript or other MVC web application frameworks.
- 3+ years experience of object-oriented design and development using the J2EE platform including Java, JDBC, Servlets, JMS, and Java/J2EE design patterns.
Preferred:
- Experience of 24/7 high traffic system development.
- Experience of development using Spring Web Flow, Structs or WebWork framework.
- Experience of e-commerce or other order processing systems.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Flexible working hours in order to work with teams overseas\differing timezones.
