International Development | Software Development Engineer(One-year Contractor)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum:
- Hand-coded HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript;
- Industry experience of server side scripting with JSP
- Familiarity with web application frameworks such as Struts, Spring web flow etc;
- Demonstrated knowledge of XML, experience using XML, XML DOM, and manipulating XML using JavaScript DOM interfaces;
- Experience with AJAX;
- Basic PhotoShop skills;
- Knowledge of basic server-client interaction and web-creation and delivery flow schemes;
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and desire for quality;
- Demonstrated high level of productivity, motivation, and efficiency;
- Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members (local and remote).
Preferred:
- Java and J2EE knowledge;
- Demonstrated development skills on a highly successful web site property or ecommerce site;
- Strong written English communication skills and acceptable verbal English skills;
Education, Certification, and/or Training:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or computing related discipline.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science.
Experience:
Minimum:
- 4+ years hands-on web development experience using JSP/Servlet, JSTL, AJAX, CSS, HTML, Javascript or other MVC web application frameworks.
Preferred:
- 6+ years of web development with Java of high traffic web application.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Flexible working hours in order to work with teams overseas\differing timezones.
